ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Russian Insurance Summit has been held annually since 2002 and has attracted hundreds of both Russian and international participants. In the course of many years these meetings and discussions have been instrumental in defining common ground among insurers, harmonizing their interests with the interests of state and society, studying and assimilating global experience as well as enhancing international cooperation. This annual international insurance conference helps raise the weight of the Russian insurance industry in the country’s economy, and integrate it into the global market.
The Russian Insurance Summit organized by the ARIA with the customary support and active participation afforded by the Bank of Russia is the key event for the insurance sector.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE
Providing a forum for an in-depth discussion of the key insurance issues, as well as for an open dialogue with the authorities; obtaining positive guidance with a view to defining development vectors for the industry.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE
To join the efforts of the insurance community and the authorities with the goal of creating a strong insurance market.
To discuss a wide range of crucial issues and develop solutions based on Russian and international best practices.
To promote the Russian insurance market as an important social institute that is vital for sustainable economic growth.
To prepare recommendations and suggestions on behalf of the insurance community for the authorities in charge of insurance and related issues.

THE MAIN TOPIC OF THE 2015 CONFERENCE
The choice of the main topic for this year’s conference is dictated by the current tough situation in domestic economy and insurance: CRISIS TRENDS IN ECONOMY AND RUSSIAN INSURANCE — PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS.

KEY DISCUSSION POINTS
Participants of the conference will have the opportunity to discuss the most topical issues and learn the opinion of foreign colleagues on the matters of particular significance for insurers, among which are:

The development trends of the Russian insurance industry in 2015 – strategy and tactics;
