The Company’s new full trade name is Open Joint Stock Company Insurance Company Allianz. Its short name is OJSC IC Allianz. Its name in English is OJSC IC Allianz. The controlling interest is held by Allianz New Europe Holding GMBH (100% - 1 share), a division of the leading international insurer Allianz SE, comprising companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Allianz Group is one of the largest financial and insurance groups, which has been providing millions of clients all over the world with insurance coverage for more than 120 years. Allianz Group entered the Russian market in 1990 by founding Ost-West Allianz (which later became CJSC IC Allianz). In July 2001 Allianz acquired 45.47 % of ROSNO stock and in 2007 became its majority shareholder, which helped Allianz to expand significantly on the Russian market. On May 21, 2007 Allianz SE became holder of 100% equity capital of the insurance company Progress-Garant. In 2011 it was decided to integrate three Russian entities of Allianz Group – ROSNO, Progress-Garant and Allianz Russia. The new company OJSC IC Allianz started working in April 2012. The group of OJSC IC Allianz comprises the universal federal-level insurance company OJSC IC Allianz and its subsidiaries: OJSC ROSNO-MS, CJSC Medexpress, OJSC My Clinic, OJSC Allianz Investments and Allianz Non-State Pension Fund. The company’s insurance policies and contracts are held by more than 18 million people and over 50 thousand enterprises and organizations. They can choose from over 130 types of voluntary and obligatory insurance. Its regional network accounts for 92 branches and 500 agencies in all Russian regions. The authorized capital amounts to 5,861,220 thousand RUR, the equity is 9,211,026 thousand RUR and the insurance reserves are 19,751,212 thousand RUR (as of December 31, 2012). The international rating agency Moody’s Investors Service assigned OJSC IC Allianz a global-scale financial reliability rating Baa2. The rating forecast is stable. At the same, the rating agency Moody’s Interfax assigned Allianz a national-scale rating Ààà.ru. In the national rating of Russian insurance companies of the rating agency Expert RA, OJSC IC Allianz has been assigned the highest À++ grade, High Reliability Level, since 2001 (and Exceptionally High Reliability Level starting from 2007). When compiling the year 2008 rating, the rating agency also assigned this rank to the Group of OJSC IC Allianz, including OJSC ROSNO-MS, for the first time.
